Top 3 Issues Affecting Skateboard Stock In Canada

1. Covid causing factory Shut downs.

One of the biggest issues facing stock comes down to reduced manufacturing. With Covid closing many of the factories that produce skateboard hard goods it was inevitable that we would see much less stock than previous years. The epidemic hit right before summer which would result in significantly less product availability for the upcoming months.

2. Higher demand as more free time arises.

With many of us seeing more free time on hand the first question everyone asks is “what am i going to do with it”. The answer for most was some sort of out door sport and whether it was about starting something new or getting back into an old habit, skateboarding topped the list for many. This created higher demand for an already limited market of products.

3. Shipping delays from various suppliers.

In addition to the other issues, if you’re lucky enough to find stock you’re now facing elongated shipping times as everything is backed up. If your shipping form another country your facing not only longer wait times but also issues with customs as security is tightened up at the border. Even domestic orders are being delayed as couriers struggled to meet a much higher than normal volume.
